The highest prevalence were observed in the rural areas in Bolivia (13% vs 6.5% p<0.001) and Peru (11.9% vs 4.1% p<0.001). The global sample consisted of 26,506 households. Global prevalence and stratification, according to rural and urban areas and 95% confidence intervals, were estimated. Variables of interest: overweight mother and child with short stature, a double burden when both outcomes are present.
